Aviane

Aviane is a medication used as oral contraception to avoid unwanted or unplanned pregnancy. Aviane contains a combination of female hormones that prevent the release of an egg from the ovaries. Aviane causes changes in the cervical mucus and uterine lining as well which make it more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus and more difficult for  fertilized eggs to attach the uterus.

Do not smoke while using Aviane or other contraceptives as this can increase your risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack caused by Aviane.

Some of the side effects of Aviane may include abdominal cramps and bloating, breakthrough bleeding, spotting, change in menstrual flow, temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatment, edema.
